  • YOUR CASE

Long-time market stallholder Goldie Trinket has been found dead in rather mysterious circumstances. She'd been boasting about a priceless collector's item she'd acquired after a house clearance, so was theft the motive for murder? Or is someone after her valuable market pitch? Will you help discover who bumped her off - and how?

    Notting Hill

There's no better word to describe Notting Hill than 'colourful'. From the flowers and blossoms in the front gardens of the white-stuccoed townhouses, to the quirky, bright shop frontages along Portobello Road, to the street art, the decorative tiling and multicultural flavour which abounds, Notting Hill is a treat for all your senses.

This murder mystery-themed walking Trail will lead you through the heart of Notting Hill, weaving on and off Portobello Road and then visiting Golborne Road and the peaceful canalside path at Meanwhile Gardens before returning to complete your exploration of one of London's prettiest streets.

This is quite a long circular walking Trail but on level ground and well-managed paths. Some of the clues are quite challenging to find, so this Trail is particularly recommended for groups, seasoned Treasure Trailers and individuals with tenacity and sharp eyes!

You are advised that sections of this Trail can get rather busy during market trading hours, particularly on a Saturday, when additional obstacles may hinder your progress - although it is unlikely clues will be obscured. This could make navigation difficult for wheelchair users. The market operates a half day on a Thursday and is not open on Sundays. The estimated Trail completion time does not include time spent browsing in the many tempting shops or relaxing in the numerous cafes and restaurants on the route!

    Approximate distance 2.8 miles.
Estimated time to complete 2.5 hours.
Nearest Tube Station: Notting Hill Gate (Central, District and Circle Lines)
The Trail begins and ends close to Notting Hill Gate Tube Station.
