  • YOUR MISSION

Disgruntled former bank employee, Hugh G. Bowness, is on the warpath! He's blackmailing City bigwigs with sinister threats of 'a device which will change the London skyline - for ever!' We think he's bluffing, but we need you to discover the code and be ready to disarm the device...just in case!

City of London - The Gherkin

The City of London will not cease to amaze you with its chaotic mix of old and new, of culture and commerce. In this Square Mile Spy Mission Walking Trail we lead you through City streets and alleyways, and get you to hunt for clues in plazas, courtyards and churchyards in the heart of London's traditional financial district. Children and adults alike will enjoy the statues, monuments and architectural variety you will discover nestled beneath a stunning skyline, which changes at every corner.

Easy walking Trail around the City streets close to Liverpool Street and London Wall. Takes in Bishopsgate, Broadgate, Moorgate, Finsbury Circus, Tower 42 and 30 St Mary Axe - the address for the Swiss Re building fondly known to many as 'The Gherkin'.

Mostly level terrain makes this Trail suitable for people with pushchairs and buggies, however unavoidable flights of steps mean that this route is regrettably not suitable for wheelchairs.

    Approximate distance 2 miles.
Estimated time to complete 1.5 hours.
Nearest Tube Station: Liverpool Street (Central, Circle, Hammersmith and Metropolitan & City Lines)
The Trail begins and ends close to Liverpool Street Station.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
I just want to say how glad myself and my family and friends have been to have discovered Treasure Trails. Since stumbling on them for the first time little under a year ago, we've had many really wonderful days exploring London and seeing our city in such an exciting new way, and I can't thank you enough!
