YOUR CASE
Oh no! Lord Sebastian Snuggles has been kidnapped! The priceless antique teddy bear is a much-loved family heirloom. After being paid a handsome ransom, his cruel abductors have left clues to his whereabouts dotted around London's Fitzrovia. Will you help find and solve them, so that Lord Snuggles can be returned to his loving family?
Fitzrovia (Charlotte Street)
Welcome to Fitzrovia! This Treasure Hunt adventure takes you on a winding tour through the charming streets and alleyways south of London's world-famous BT Tower. This location, north of Oxford Street and Soho and set between Marylebone and Bloomsbury, is famous for its pub and cafe culture and its connections with famous writers such as Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw. These days it is home to many residential locals and to a bright array of media and advertising businesses.
The Trail does not extend to historic Fitzroy Square, which will form part of a separate, later, Trail, but questers are encouraged to visit and tour the Square as an extension to this Trail if they wish.
This is a compact Trail, less than one mile long, so can be completed in a relatively short time - a lunchbreak maybe, or before a dinner date, theatre visit or jumping on a bus home! On the other hand, there are the same number of deliciously sneaky clues to keep you busy as in other Trails. Ideal for those who don't want to walk too far or are short on time, but want the same rich puzzle experience as can be found on longer routes.
Wheelchair users are advised that some of the more difficult clues may need assistance to read as they are located at height.
Approximate distance 0.85 miles. Estimated completion time 45 minutes to 1 hour. Nearest Tube Station: Goodge Street (Northern Line). The Trail starts and ends close to Goodge Street Tube Station. The Trail is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
