  • YOUR CASE

On the death of her favourite old uncle, hard-up Emma Teepockets, inherited the family home in Tewkesbury with its extensive library. Emma had little interest in books and so arranged for them to be sorted for sale at auction. It was during this process that a treasure map and instructions slipped from an old tome on the Wars of the Roses. See if you can help Emma find the treasure and maybe share in her good fortune.

    Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury is a lovely old town, teeming with history, charm and fascination. From the splendour of the Abbey, past many listed and half-timbered buildings to the curious alleyways, this Trail takes in all the highlights for a great way to explore to suit all ages.

The 2 mile Trail is almost entirely flat and on level surfaces. There is one short flight of steps but an alternative brief detour is described for pushchair users if preferred. Regrettably, due to the narrow crossing at the lock, this Trail is not suitable for wheelchair users. Parking is available (short and long stay) at Gander Lane from where it is only a short walk to the start outside the main gates of the Abbey. There are numerous pubs and tea shops for refreshment along the way.
