  • YOUR CASE

Jack Foster, local builder, was refurbishing an old warehouse in the Docks. He swung his sledgehammer at the wall which collapsed to reveal a concealed chamber only just large enough for the skeleton and chest inside. His hands trembled as he lifted the lid and unfolded the parchment inside - a map showing the location of hidden treasure. Can you help Jack find it and maybe share in his fortune?

    Gloucester City & Historic Docks

The City of Gloucester has a unique history from its Roman foundations to its Victorian docklands. This Trail takes you from the splendour of the Cathedral, through some of the oldest parts of the city, to the historic docks and back on a circular route returning to the spires of St Peter’s on the green. Parking is available in Hare Lane near the start point and there are several places along the route for refreshments.

The Trail is just over 1.5 miles long and should take approximately 2 hours to complete. The route is mostly flat and almost entirely on paved surfaces with one short flight of steps down half way around (with alternative access for pushchairs). This Trail is suitable for both light pushchairs and most standard wheelchairs (with care at some narrow points around the docks).

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
My 2 children thoroughly enjoyed the trail, learned so much and saw places we never knew were around as we tend to drift past them in our daily lives. Fresh air, exercise, learning, priceless!
