  • YOUR CASE

It was whilst visiting the Redcliffe Caves that globetrotter, Cameron Eideecard, accidentally dislodged a rock and discovered a crumpled rag tucked in a hidey hole. On it was drawn a rough map and instructions as to where pirate booty from the captured French ship, “A l'Eau C'Est l'Heure” was buried long ago. Join him on his adventure to discover the secret location. If you can track it down you might win a prize.

    Bristol Redcliffe and Temple Quay

This Trail, one of 5 currently available in Bristol, explores a fascinating and diverse area of the city from Bathurst Basin, through Redcliffe towards Temple Meads and back via the contrasting steel and glass of the redevloped Temple Quay and the ancient Temple church to arrive in Queen Square for a final flourish.

Such is the rollercoaster ride through history on this 2.2 mile Trail that you'll need to allow 2-3 hours to discover all that it has to offer. Add a visit to the MShed, where the Trail begins, either before or after and you have a complete day out with something for all ages.

There are cobbles to negotiate around Redcliffe Quay and access to the grounds of St Mary Redcliffe is via a flight of steps but an alternative route is available with a very minor detour so light pushchairs should manage the terrain easily.

Cafes, pubs and restaurants for sustenance and comfort breaks, as well as green areas for picnicing can be found along the route.
