  • YOUR CASE

Something fishy has been going on in Bibury! Whilst hoping to hook a juicy trout from the clear waters of the River Coln, tourist and keen angler, Juan Da Gottawei, got more than he bargained for when he netted a bottle containing a map. It showed the location of buried treasure somewhere on a faraway island. Can you help to locate the booty? Follow the trail, solve the clues and you may win a prize.

    Bibury Junior Trail

Bibury was once described by William Morris as "the most beautiful village in England" and it's easy to see why. Apart from the world famous and much photographed National Trust Arlington Row, the delightful main street which follows the river, charming Cotswold stone cottages and a thriving working trout farm, this enchanting village holds secrets waiting to be discovered off the beaten track.
This Trail is unique in the Gloucestershire catalogue, being aimed primarily at the 7-11 age group and their parents, offering a great opportunity for a longer, fun stay. It incorporates additional games and activities specifically for the younger visitor but which would be enjoyed by all.

The Trail is suitable for all the family, including well behaved dogs on a lead, although because the route takes you off road and over a stile it is regrettably unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. For the same reason, sensible footwear is advised, possibly even wellies after wet weather. Allow additional time for a visit to Bibury Trout Farm and you could try your hand at fishing or feeding the trout, and to enjoy the playground, cafe or picnic area. The Trail incorporates a voucher for a FREE child entrance on presentation of the booklet.
