An historic and beautiful little town, Rayleigh has a lot to offer. This Trail takes you on a relaxing stroll past the ancient Rayeigh Mount (an 11th Century earthworks, originally the site of a motte and bailey castle), through the park and near to the gorgeous rose gardens. Truly unforgettable.
This Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and goes through a children's play area and a large recreation park, in case you want to have a break - maybe even a picnic! At 2.3 miles, it's a pleasant stroll which should take around an hour and a half.
