  • YOUR CASE

The village of Mistley was horrified today to learn of the murder of its long-time resident Harriet Potter. Harriet (or Harrie, as she preferred to be known) was a kind old lady who lived alone with her black cat, several frogs and a newt. She liked to read tea-leaves and palms. The terrible Witchfinder General is long since gone...so who could have harmed poor Harrie? Can you solve the clues and find out?

    Mistley

Mistley is a small village on the River Stour, usually considered as part of the town of Manningtree. This Trail will take you from the lovely nineteenth century St. Michael's and St. Mary's church, along the river, through the village centre and down a beautiful footpath covered with trees. Truly unmissable. This beautiful village has a dark and sinister history to uncover...but you'll have to visit to find out what!

This Trail is only two miles long, but be aware that it is not suitable for wheelchairs. Pushchairs will be fine in good weather, but there is a long stretch of footpath at the end which, while really lovely and an enjoyable walk, may become boggy and unsuitable for pushchairs in wet weather.
