YOUR CASE
Legend has it that many, many years ago a galleon filled with Spanish gold went missing along the now calm waters of Sandbanks. Ivor Fortune, a local tycoon and yacht owner has been searching these waters for the lost gold. Look out over the waters - you may see his yacht on the horizon.
Help Ivor solve the clues to reveal the watery hideaway, you will not get any gold but you may win a cash prize.
Sandbanks
Sandbanks is a small peninsula crossing the mouth of Poole Harbour, it is well known for the lovely Sandbanks Beach and high property value; Sandbanks has currently, by area, the fourth highest land value in the world. The Sandbanks Ferry connects Sandbanks to Studland, and runs regular daily trips across the mouth of the harbour. You will not find a better place to spend those hot summer days than the beaches along this Trail. With the fantastic Sandbanks Hotel as your holiday base, what more could you ask for?
This Trail will take you from Bournemouth Pier to The Sandbanks Hotel along the Promenade, with a few diversions on the way. The Trail can either be walked or cycled, although cycling is prohibited along the Promenade during the daytime in July and August. The Trail is about 4 miles in length and should take about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to complete, maybe a little longer if walked.
