  • YOUR CASE

Local millionaire Gerard Atrick (Gerry to his family) was preparing for his 90th birthday at his home, Muddleton Mansion. He had invited all his family and was about to break the news that he was intending to change his will when a crashing sound was heard above. Everyone rushed up the stairs, a body and it looked like murder! What guilty secrets do the family want to hide, who would resort to murder to keep those secrets secret.

    Milton Abbas & Abbey

Milton Abbas is famous for its picturesque village of thatched cottages, its Abbey and its Mansion.
The Abbey and the House used to be in close proximity to the village but Lord Milton, the 1st Earl of Dorchester had the whole village destroyed because it was too close to his great house. He did, however employ the famous Capabilty Brown to design and build the new village which is here today.
The Abbey goes back to the time of King Athelstan who founded the Abbey in the 10th century.
The House Itself is now part of the Milton Abbey School.

This walking Murder Mystery Trail is about 2.8 miles in length and should take you about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. There is quite a bit of walking, a small amount along a quiet road.

The Trail is suitable for light pushchairs but because of the uneven and hilly ground is not suitable for wheelchairs.
