YOUR MISSION
Modern day smugglers have got wind of a hoard of contraband hidden along the coast at Golden Cap by The Colonel's gang many years ago. Bottles of French brandy, baccy and lace have been found after a recent land slide. They intend to use a device to blow up the Cap to get to it. Famous dinosaurologist, Jimmy “fossil” Cocks is horrified and has to stop them but he needs your help to solve the clues to deactivate the device.
Golden Cap
This is the second Trail written for West Dorset Leisure Holidays, the Trail starts at the car park next to the Golden Cap Holiday Park, Seatown, Chideock. The Trail will take you through the Golden Cap Holiday Park along the footpaths to the bustling little village of Chideock and to the secluded beach. The views, as with it's sister Trail Highlands End & Eype Village, are fantatic along the Dorset and East Devon World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, with 95 miles of stunning coastline with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history.
You can take a whole day out with this Trail, just take your towel, swimming cossies and a packed lunch and spend some time on the beach. The Anchor pub is next to the beach for those who fancy a pint or glass of wine. There are no clues for you to solve on Golden Cap itself, but there is a footpath which will lead to the summit of the Cap if you wish to see more of the Jurassic Coast and its amazing views and scenery.
This walking Spy Mission Trail is about 2 miles in length and will take about 2 1/2 hours to complete. Because of the uneven ground along the footpaths and a small hill to climb this Trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or for pushchairs.
