Bridport Town
Bridport, an Anglo Saxon town, the largest in West Dorset was made famous by its rope making. Such was the fame of Bridport rope that those who ended their days on the gallows were said to have been 'stabbed by a Bridport dagger'. This Trail starts at the home of "The Bees" and takes you around the ancient town. The New Electric Palace Cinema, a fantastic little theatre/cinema was opened on 14th June 1926, and has been in continuous use ever since. Definitely worth a visit.
This is a Murder Mystery Trail around the town of Bridport. The Trail will take about 2.5 hours, with about 1.5 miles of walking. The Trail is fairly level,so it is suitable for pushchairs and for wheelchair users.
