Heidi Place is a wanted woman, she is also a mistress of disguise. Echo journalist, Rita Story, was close to exposing her, when she was found murdered, with Heidi's fingerprints on the murder weapon. Heidi's history of volatile and unpredictable behaviour has made her a real danger to society. See if you can solve the clues to uncover Heidi's disguise, and the weapon she used to get rid of Rita.

    Blandford Forum

The name of Blandford is likely to have come from the Anglo Saxon "Blaen-y-ford which means the place by the ford. Blandford Forum is often given as an example of a Georgian town, as the entire centre was rebuilt at once in the 1700s.
From 1860 the town was an important stop on the Somerset and Dorset Railway, which ran from Bath to Bournemouth until the line closed in 1966. From the car park at the start of your Trail you will be able to see the old railway bridge in the distance, close to the metal bridge across the grassland.
A great place to stop is The Crown, which is the largest hotel in the town. It is located in the town centre next to the river Stour. An old Georgian Coaching House with an interesting history, the Crown was originally an old galleried inn, but, along with most of the town, it was burnt down in the fire of 1731. The subsequent Georgian building was damaged by fire in 1937 requiring further rebuilding.

This is a Murder Mystery Trail around the town of Blandford Forum. The Trail will take about 2.5 hours, with about 1.7 miles of walking. The Trail is fairly level,so it is suitable for pushchairs and for wheelchair users.
