  • YOUR MISSION

The notorious environmental terrorist, Dr Badden-Madd, is up to his dastardly deeds once again. This time, he has planted a bomb in the Burrator Reservoir, and is threatening to blow up the dam, thereby flooding the beautiful Plym Valley and swamping the city of Plymouth. Can you jump on your bike, solve the trail and deactivate the bomb before Dr Badden-Madd carries out his evil plans?

    Plym Valley

The Plym Valley lies just north of Plymouth and is a welcoming wildlife haven in direct contrast with the urban sprawl of the nearby city. The valley follows the course of the River Plym, and lies within 200 acres of woodland known as Plymbridge Woods, owned and managed by the National Trust. Keep a sharp eye out for the abundant wildlife, from fallow deer to foxes, squirrels to badgers and blue tits to magnificent peregrine falcons.

The Plym Valley is a most magical place to explore, whether in spring when the woods are awash with the heady scent of wild garlic and bluebells; in summer, when you can just catch a glimpse of Dartmoor at its most enticing; in autumn, when the trees are in glorious multi-colour; or even in winter, when you might be lucky enough to spot a deer or fox footprints in a sparkling blanket of snow!

Whatever the season, the Plym Valley Spy Trail will revealing some absolutely stunning scenery that is well off the beaten track.

Be sure to take your camera - you're in for a real treat!

This is a Spy Mission Trail which can be completed on foot or by bicycle. The trail starts at the Park & Ride at Coypool, near Marsh Mills and heads northwards towards Clearbrook on the southern edge of Dartmoor. The trail is 7 miles one way and takes around 3 hours to complete. It is set entirely on a designated national cycle route. It is level & generally well-maintained, apart from the final short section.
