Okehampton
The ancient market town of Okehampton is dominated by the power and beauty of Dartmoor whose presence has somehow seeped into the town’s character and atmosphere. Built around the castle that guarded one of the few crossing points of the river Okement, Okehampton has much history to explore. Included in the Trail is the beautiful Simmons Park which would be the ideal place to enjoy a picnic.
This is a Murder Mystery Trail which is 2 miles long and takes approximately 2 hours.
The trail is steep in places and has one long cobbled path to negotiate, which can be slippery when wet. The Trail is suitable for light pushchairs but regrettably unsuitable for wheelchair users.
