YOUR MISSION
Multi-millionaire racehorse owner, Jock. E. Club and his wife Nag-atha, are banking on success in the annual Gold Cup challenge held at Newton Abbot Racecourse. Unknown to Jock, jealous rival, Rhoda Lott, is trying to ‘stirrup’ trouble by detonating a smoke bomb to confuse the horses as they set off on the race of a lifetime. Can you deactivate the device in time to save the race and give Jock his chance for glory?
Newton Abbot
Newton Abbot is a bustling and vibrant market town, situated at the head of the Teign Estuary and conveniently located for Dartmoor National Park and the English Riviera coastal resorts. The town is famous for its three main tourist attractions - the fascinating Newton Abbot and Great Western Railway Museum which provides a journey through Devon's railway heritage; Tuckers Maltings, the only traditional working malthouse open to the public; and Newton Abbot Racecourse, where numerous other events are held in addition to race meetings. You will also find a wide variety of shops, cafes and restaurants within the town as well as the historic market, which has thrived in Newton Abbot for over 750 years!
This is a circular walking trail which is approximately 2 miles long and takes around 2 hours to complete. It is set on level paths & pavements and helps you explore the town centre and riverside. The Trail starts at the Railway Station and finishes at Tuckers Maltings.
The Trail Booklet is available to purchase from Newton Abbot Tourist Information Centre.
