Locals were shocked to hear that Martha Miggins, proprietor of the Chocolate Tea Pot, has met a sticky end. Mrs Miggins closely guarded the secret of her award-winning recipe for the jam served in her popular cream teas for many years; a recipe that has been handed down through many generations. Police believe that a jealous rival could be behind her untimely demise. Help the police to solve the crime and you could win a prize!
Honiton
The busy market town of Honiton is easily accessible to visitors travelling to East Devon either by car or by rail. Famous for its lace and pottery, Honiton is now reknowned for its friendly and warm welcome, no doubt bourne from a long tradition of providing hospitality for weary travellers wishing to break their long journey to the South West. There were rumoured to be around 90 public houses in Honiton at one stage! Why not take time to explore the many antique shops found along the High Street or browse the town's bustling street market every Tuesday and Saturday.
This is a Murder Mystery Trail. The trail is approximately 2 miles long and takes around 2 hours to complete.
The trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, although there is a long downhill stretch.
You can purchase the trail as a booklet from the Tourist Information Centre in Lace Walk, which is where the trail starts.
