  • YOUR CASE

The body of Simon Snodshaw, the popular local cider maker was found floating in a vat of his prize scrumpy yesterday. Police have revealed that he was mysteriously murdered before his body was thrown into the vat. Can you shed any light on who might have committed this dastardly deed? If you can, you may win a prize!

    Barnstaple

'Barnstaple' - known locally as 'Barum' - is the oldest borough in the UK and can lay claim to be the best ‘blooming’ town in the world. It has won numerous Britain in Bloom Best Town awards and more notably Best Town in Europe in 1996 and World in Bloom Best Town in 1998 and 2000. This attractive market town is the largest in North Devon, and nestles in the Taw Valley on either side of the river. With such a rich history, and a beautiful setting, this Trail is on the must-do list.

This is a Murder Mystery Trail.
The Trail is 1.5 miles long and takes approximately 2 hours.

This Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users.

The Trail booklet is available for sale at the Tourist Information Centre in Barnstaple, which is at the start of the trail, and BJ's Value House Stores near the Leisure Centre at Severn Brethren Bank in Barnstaple, which is five minutes from the start.
