What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Exeter, there are a few things you need to know...

The gardens on this Trail close at dusk, so give yourself plenty of daylight hours to complete the Trail.

The Trail is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that dogs will need to be kept on leads throughout the Trail, including in the gardens.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Haven Banks (EX2 8GP), just a five-minute walk away.

There are some fantastic events in Exeter's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Exeter Visitor Information.

There are public toilets available throughout Exeter, which can be found using this handy guide. The route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way. Northernhay Gardens is a fantastic picnic spot if the weather is nice!
