YOUR MISSION
The evil environmental terrorist, Dr Badden-Madd, is holding the good townsfolk of Dawlish to ransom by planting a device in the brook running through town, which, on detonation, will release a dye into the water and turn the famous Dawlish black swans a delicate shade of cerise. Help stop the nasty scientist in his tracks by working out the code to deactivate the device, or Dawlish will lose its famous trademark black swans forevermore.
Dawlish
The pretty South Devon seaside resort of Dawlish is famous for its Black Swans, which inhabit The Brook running through the centre of the town. Dawlish is also home to many other waterfowl, including hatchlings, cygnets and ducklings which can be observed in the specially constructed pens in the park. The central park and gardens, known as The Lawn, is an ideal spot for a picnic or just simply to relax and enjoy the tranquil, serene environment of this delightful, traditional English seaside town.
This is a circular Spy Mission walking trail around Dawlish, which is 2 miles long and will take you around 2 hours to complete. The trail starts at Dawlish Railway Station on the sea front and finishes in the park nearby. There is a large car park by the train station. The trail is set along footpaths and pavements and is suitable for light pushchairs, but not wheelchairs as there is a steep uphill climb involving two small flights of steps. The stunning views from the top of the hill are worth the climb!
The Trail booklet can also be purchased at Dawlish Tourist Information Centre, which is located near the start.
