  • YOUR MISSION

Toby Rone, an industrial spy, is on his way from Switzerland to steal the secret recipe of Tissington toffee. He knows the combination of the safe it is contained in - but nobody here does. You have to solve the clues to discover the secret code in order to unlock the safe and allow the secret recipe to be moved to the vaults of Tissington Hall where Sir Richard FitzHerbert will keep it safe.

    Tissington

Visiting Tissington is like stepping back in time. There are no street lamps, people are friendly, there is little traffic and the Jacobean Hall is spectacular. During the well dressing season, Tissington puts on one of the best displays around. The village is, not surprisingly, close to the Tissington Trail so if you are cycling that route, take a break and view the village. This Trail will help you explore the whole village whilst allowing you the opportunity to stop off at the olde worlde sweet shop or the converted coach house tea-rooms where you will receive a warm welcome.

The Trail is along the paths and roadways of the village and although there is some traffic, it is usually moving at a slow pace. Wheelchair users and pushchairs should be able to complete most of this Trail without too much difficulty on the few slight hills within the village. The only possible exception to this might be the churchyard, but users can stay on the main road and remain visible to the rest of the group. The Trail is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about an hour and a half to complete.
