YOUR CASE
The body of legendary volcanologist, Ringo Fyre, has been found by a disused mine in Tideswell. Local police detective Andy Mover believe it to be foul play and suspect the assailant to be from a group of glaciologists. He has discovered a number of clues that may lead him to discover the murderer and the weapon used, but he needs your help to crack this case.
Tideswell
Tideswell is one of the prettiest villages in the Peak District. Called 'The Cathedral of the Peak' it has narrow winding back streets, old stone cottages, beautiful scenery both within and around the village and a spectacular church right in the centre. Famous for its Well Dressing in late June, tourists flock to try the excellent pubs and tearooms. Amongst the local shops there is something for everyone to be found here. This is a real, old, traditional village, with stories to match, sights to see and history to be appreciated. The Trail takes you around all of the hidden gems, but you will want extra time to delve in-depth into the quaint Derbyshire ways.
The Trail is almost entirely on paths and roadways with only some minor hills within the village. There are places to eat and drink as well as places within the village and close by to have a picnic. For a really full day, why not complete the Castleton Trail close by after you have finished this Trail - and visit caves and caverns in the hills! The Trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and will take approximately one and a half hours to complete.
