  • YOUR CASE

The famous outlaw, Robin Hood, frequently came to Hathersage to visit his friend Little John. On one of his trips he left some of his swag hidden within the village. He never got back to claim it - and now a map of where it was hidden has come into your possession. Follow the directions and solve the clues to find the stash of the outlaw Robin Hood.

    Hathersage

This small town has much to offer the visitor, including an open air heated swimming pool. The surrounding area is popular with hill walkers and climbers and the rocks were originally a great source of hardened mill stones. The main industry used to be making needles and pins - but most of that has disappeared now. Nevertheless, there are many surprises in store for the visitor, including a connection to Robin Hood! There are some lovely shops and restaurants as well as a number of pubs within the town - too many to sample all on one day.

The Trail is mostly along paths and roads, but there are some parts of the Trail where steps are present and may not be negotiable by wheelchair users. The Trail is approximately 2 miles long and would take perhaps 2 hours to complete.
