YOUR CASE
A wealthy industrialist, N.E. Takers, discovered a revolutionary process for using natural products to form an almost weightless cloth that changes with the elements. In the winter it keeps you warm and dry and in the summer, cool. The formula got lost when he died. He had hidden it somewhere in the Cromford area. Can you find it?
Cromford
Cromford grew up from a few cottages clustered around a packhorse bridge and became one of the most significant places in British industrial history. It was here that the great powerhouses that drove the industrial revolution first evolved. The first ever water powered mill was built here by Sir Richard Arkwright.
You can walk around the streets that he had built to house his workers, see the source of his power and experience the grandeur and splendour that brought him to Cromford. And there is something else hidden here that you must discover - something that has been lost for a very long time and might bring about a second revolution in how we do things in the future. See if you can find where it is hidden following our clues.
The Trail is approximately 2 miles long and will take you approximately 2 hours to complete - subject to any stop offs!
