One of our agents, Jim Pond, has discovered that the evil genius, Dr Leadfinger, is planning to destroy the Keswick Graphite Mine in an attempt to de-stabilise the Cumbrian economy. Unfortunately Pond was eliminated before he could tell us the code to stop the bomb, but he did leave a trail of clues around Keswick that would lead to the code. We need YOU, our best agent, to retrieve this code and save the day!!

Keswick is a bustling, vibrant tourist haven all year round. Protected by spectacular mountains, sitting on the edge of Derwent Water, Keswick is the start of many mountain adventures and makes a terrific location to explore on a Spy Trail.

Keswick provides an impressive collection of cafe's, restaurants and pubs, along with a fascinating offering of independent shops. The Trail leads you in the direction of most major attractions, including the Pencil Museum, The Mining Museum, and The Theatre by the Lake. Keswick developed during the 16th century with the discovery of copper, followed by graphite leading to the manufacturing of pencils. By the end of the 19th century the writing of the Lakes Poets attracted large numbers of tourists, who have been coming ever since. Explore this history with Treasure Trails.

The Trail begins and ends at the Tourist Information Office. This is Moot Hall and can be found in the middle of the Market Place. There is a number of pay and display car parks around Keswick. It will take 2 hours to complete. The Trails is suitable for pushchairs, unfortunately due to the terrain not wheelchairs.
