  • YOUR CASE

Local food lovers were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Kurt ‘the Picklefoot” Hesket, whose body was found next to an open safe. As well as the murder police are also investigating the theft of his secret Cumberland sausage sauce recipe, which has been passed down from generation to generation of the Hesket family. If you can correctly identify the guilty party and murder weapon you could win a prize!

    GRANGE OVER SANDS

Grange-over-Sands is said to have one of the mildest climates in the North, this is thanks to the influence of the Gulf Stream.
The arrival of the railway in the 1850’s transformed what was once a small fishing village into a fashionable seaside resort, even down to being known as the Cumbrian Riviera.
Today Grange retains much of this Edwardian charm and elegance, with ornamental gardens, attractive shops, and a bandstand along with a stunning promenade which enjoys marvellous views of Morecombe Bay.

The Trail begins in the pay and display car park on Kents Bank Road. You will take in the Ornamental Gardens, the bandstand, and town centre and of course a stroll along the promenade.
There are plenty of cafes along the Trail if you decide to take advantage and the opportunity to spend some extra time in this town with a strong sense of past.
