Bowness-on Windermere Trail now live

10/11/2010

Bowness now has it's own Treasure Trail. Can you solve the mystery of the whereabouts of legendary highwaywoman Peggy Sleddle's hoard of loot.

The Trail begins and ends at Windermere Pier.Visiting St Martin's Church, with a bit of an off road wander along Sheriff's Walk with a return to the town centre. The Trail will take only a couple of hours, but will introduce Trailers to a side of Bowness rarely seen by most visitors.

Of course the Trail could take longer if you should happen to get waylaid by the numerous attractions Bowness has to offer. A trip on the lake, a visit to the world of Beatrix Potter, the shops of Ash Street or just admiring the stunning scenery.
