YOUR MISSION
The evil genius, Dr Madden-Badd, is at it again. He has organised a huge surfing party in the area and has promised the surfers waves in excess of 15 metres. The only way he can do this is to detonate a huge bomb on the sea floor. Great for the surfers but bad news for the residents of Perranporth and the surrounding marine life. We need your help to find the code to stop his bomb. Good luck.
Perranporth
In the 19th century Perranporth was a tin mining village. It is now a family resort with miles of golden sands, attracting surfers, sunbathers and sand yachters.
The name Perranporth means Perran's Port, and is the place where Saint Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall, first landed in the county. He founded his first church and monastery in the sand hills nearby.
Winston Graham wrote the first of his Poldark novels here, weaving a real and fictitious story of 18th and 19th century mining families.
This is a Spy Trail and is a walking Trail around the town of Perranporth. It is mostly on paths and roads but does include a small walk along the cliff path and is therefore unsuitable for wheelchairs.
There are a couple of steep hills. It is 2 miles long and will take approximately 2 hours.
