  • YOUR CASE

In 1806, Joshua Jacob Trago sailed away from Mevagissey, never to be seen again. Last year a local fisherman found an old bottle in the sea. It contained a map showing an island group in the Caribbean that Joshua had discovered. It also contained instructions (see below) on how to find the treasure that Joshua had collected and hidden somewhere on the islands. Can you solve the clues and find the location of the treasure?

    Mevagissey

In so many ways this 14th Century fishing village represents the very essence of Cornwall. Its pace of life is driven by the sea, and its atmosphere is full of the rich heritage of fishing and smuggling. Slow to change, this working harbour with its narrow twisting back streets remains a fascinating place to explore.

This is a Treasure Hunt Trail. The Trail is 1½ miles and takes approximately 1½ hours.

The Trail is suitable for light pushchairs and wheelchairs, however there is one section of steep steps which will require a long detour to avoid this hazard.
