YOUR MISSION
Inspired by the legend of the giant Bolster, who could bridge the 6 mile gap between Carn Brea and St. Agnes Beacon in one stride, Dr. Madden-Badd has invented a device with similar capabilities. It uses a strong force field installed in the soles of a pair of hiking boots and a power unit that can be carried in a back pack. With it he can escape from the direst trap. The secret code disables his device.
The The View from Carn Brea Trail
This Spy Driving Trail starts at Gwennap Pit, one of the most notable locations in the history of Methodism, before taking you to the top of Carn Brea from which one has a magnificent vista of an area that was once one of the most important mining areas in the world. Our Trail zig zags its way northwards and westwards visiting one of the once famous mines, Tuckingmill Valley, beside the Red River, and Tehidy Country Park before hitting the coast at the sheer and spectacular cliffs at Hell's Mouth. It finishes at Gwithian, where the Red River flows into the sea at the northern end of this popular surfing beach close to Godrevy Head.
The Trail includes 15 miles driving and approximately 2 miles walking. Several of the clues are on tracks and footpaths so unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs. Take good walking shoes for this Trail.
