YOUR CASE
Local residents were shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely demise of local bank manager Augustus P Trelawney. Foul play is suspected, especially since it has been revealed that Mr Trelawney had rather a murky past, and there are many suspects for the murder. Can you solve the mystery? If you can, you could win a prize!
Camborne
The town of Camborne is relatively new, dating back to the early 1800s and linked directly to the mining boom in the area. As was the case in other mining towns, Methodism under John Wesley flourished by giving hope and comfort to many poor mining families. There are many fine chapels and churches in the town. When the tin and copper boom ended, Camborne became a popular market town. Acknowledgements to Richard Trevithick, one of Britain’s most influential inventors and favourite son of Camborne, are everywhere. This Trail offers a different perspective of Camborne and has a rich balance of religious, industrial and architectural history.
This is a Murder Mystery Trail. The Trail is 1½ miles and takes approximately 1½ hours.
The Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
