In the steps of Cromwell - Part 2

This historic driving and walking Trail is dedicated to Oliver Cromwell and his life in Cambridgeshire from the time he and his family moved to Ely.
Elected as one of the Top 10 Britons of all time in the 2002 BBC poll, Oliver Cromwell is one of the most controversial figures in British history - considered a dictator by some and a hero by others. The BBC History channel described Cromwell as an "English soldier and statesman who helped make England a republic and then ruled as Lord Protector from 1653 to 1658".
Undoubtedly, Cromwell is one of the most famous residents of Ely. This Trail will take you on a journey of exploration of the local history connected to his name.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
My nine-year-old daughter and I had a great day out in Cambridge with your trail as a guide. The great thing is (besides the fun in itself) that we could always take a break and were never rushed!
