  • YOUR CASE

A famous Cambridge archaeologist Sir Digby "Digger" Trench discovered a manuscript with a map pointing to the original location of some extremely rare and highly prized silver coins, known as Aetheldred’s Agnus Dei Pennies. The treasure was originally buried near Fitzwilliam Museum but has been dug out and moved to a faraway location. Solve the clues to find the secret hideaway and win a cash prize if you are lucky!

    Old Cambridge Part 2

Whilst Cambridge is probably best known for its historic university, and the numerous colleges that are part of it, the city itself is far older (the university did not arrive in the city until early in the 13th Century).
This Trail is one of the series of Cambridge Trails that explores different parts of this famous and beautiful city in more detail. Starting at Lammas Land, this Trail takes you for a gentle walk across Coe Fen, followed by the exploration of the south west part of the city. It finishes by the beautiful river Cam and just a short walk away from the Lammas Land car park. This Trail will take you on the journey to discover many hidden treasures of Cambridge. Take this Trail to find out who Hobson was and to learn the connection between the American flag and one of Cambridge's churches. This Trail will bring you to the famous Cambridge museum and its oldest college and church, and the site of an old mill.

This is a walking Treasure Hunt Trail. It is approximately 2 miles long and you should allow around 2 hours to complete it. This Trail follows a well-maintained pedestrian and cycle route across Coe Fen to the city centre and its south-western parts. The terrain is flat, there are no hills to negotiate and the path is asphalted throughout the Trail. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
My nine-year-old daughter and I had a great day out in Cambridge with your trail as a guide. The great thing is (besides the fun in itself) that we could always take a break and were never rushed!
