YOUR MISSION
The owner of the local boat hire company, Fenland Floats, is desperate to improve business and increase his income! His plan is to re-flood the Fens thus recreating a true Isle of Ely. By doing this he will force local businesses and residents to hire boats from him! Luckily the devices he has planted have been discovered but still need to be deactivated. Can you come to the rescue of the residents of Ely and foil this dastardly plan?
Ely
The magnificent Cathedral of Ely dominates the landscape and can be seen from miles away in all directions - not only because of its sheer size but also because Ely, until the 17th Century, was an island in itself, surrounded by swamp land. It wasn't until The Fens were drained that Ely ceased to be an island. It still retains connections with water as it sits alongside the River Great Ouse.
This is a walking Trail in the Spy format. It is just under 2 miles in distance and you should allow approximately 2 hours to complete it. The ground underfoot is good throughout and is considered suitable for both pushchairs and wheelchairs.
