YOUR MISSION
Deranged entomologist Dr Gilda Trinket has developed beetles which feed exclusively upon gold. She plans to let them loose to strip bare the gold from the swan on top of the Town Hall and has put them in a box with a device set to disperse them. She hopes to increase the world value of gold by increasing its rarity in order to raise the value of her own gold jewellery. Find the code and de-activate the device to foil her dastardly plan!
Buckingham
In the 10th century Buckingham was made the capital of the then newly-formed shire of Buckingham, but later lost its County town status to Aylesbury. Buckingham though never a garrison during the Civil War, was a temporary resting place used alternately by the soldiers of both sides . It is nearly surrounded by the River Ouse and many of the buildings are built on the slopes around the river which is prone to flood.
This Trail is suitable for pushchairs although there are some slopes to negotiate. Due to the nature of the terrain this Trail is not recommended for wheelchairs. It about 2 miles and will take about 2 hours to complete.
