Scotland West

David and Petreena Wright are proud to be the first Treasure Trails licencees. Having spent 6 years living in Cornwall, they have returned to their native Argyll and are based in Innellan, on the Cowal Peninsula. During a visit to the Royal Cornwall Show in 2005, they came across Steve Ridd and Treasure Trails for the first time. After a brief conversation with Steve (who could hardly speak, he had been so busy) David said “We’re going to take Treasure Trails to Scotland!” The rest, as they say, is history.

David hails from the Isle of Jura in Argyll. He has spent most of his life working in the outdoors – as a gamekeeper, in forestry and latterly running his own fencing business. Having travelled the world extensively with his then partner and now wife (Petreena) he has always been on the lookout for that “great opportunity” and in Treasure Trails feels he has finally found it! David enjoys playing and watching sport, and is a particularly avid darts player.

Petreena hails from Morvern in the West Highlands. A history graduate, she has worked as a librarian and teacher, and has also travelled extensively. She loves cats and has successfully tamed two local strays! She is also a self confessed chocoholic.

Together they enjoy snowboarding, walking, golf, traditional Scottish music and, of course, writing Trails to keep all you Trailers on your toes! In the future, they plan to expand their business, offering a wider range of Trails throughout their area. They also offer a bespoke Trail writing service for attractions wishing to enhance their visitors’ experience, and can organise an event based around a Trail for almost any occasion.
