The Scotland
North-East Licensee
We are delighted to announce that Mrs Elizabeth Johnston has been appointed the Manager of Treasure Trails Scotland North-East.
In October 2007 Liz read a review about Treasure Trails in the Herald Magazine about the Glasgow West End Trail. Coincidentally, she and her family were meeting friends from England in Glasgow and they were unsure about what to do for the afternoon.
Liz said, “We wondered what on earth we were going to do? How were we going to keep 4 adults, 4 children (ages 9-14) and a dog occupied and having fun for the afternoon (especially when it turned out to be grey and drizzly). The Trail offered the perfect solution as it sounded very enjoyable, we would be outdoors and everyone would be exercising (including the dog!) Having downloaded the Trail from the web site, I noticed that you could buy a licence for the area. I sent off for details and the rest is history!”
“Over the coming months I will be hard at work so that I can develop several fun and interesting trails for you to enjoy in the North-East. Please check back on a regular basis as the Trails will be made available as they are completed.”
Liz was born in Glasgow and moved to the North-East 20 years ago with her husband, Graeme, who works in the oil industry. She teaches part-time and they have 2 children (and the dog, mentioned previously!). They love travelling and are all keen walkers and skiers, although their dog hasn’t quite mastered skiing – yet! .
