Aaron Hutchens

Head of Design

Spending his early days drawing pictures and making a 'creative' mess, Aaron graduated in 2003 with a first class degree in illustration. He began work as a designer shortly after. Having worked for a number of companies and clients he joined Treasure Trails in 2008. Generating new ideas, constantly learning something new and producing great design for Treasure Trails are what he loves to do.

Q&A with aaron

When did you start working for Treasure Trails?
I joined Treasure Trails in January 2008 on a part-time basis, it wasn't long before the company just snow-balled though and I became full-time.

What does an average day at Treasure Trails mean for you?
I normally have a lot of different projects going on, so there is no 'average' day for me. There will be lots of assisting our Licensees in what they are doing as well working on the larger projects for business clients. I am always looking at ways to develop our products into new areas as well. I am mostly office based, but am lucky enough to still get out into the fresh air working on some of our more interesting projects. That's the best thing about Treasure Trails; it's not just the design which I do, the variety of work keeps everything interesting.

What is your favourite Trail?
The Perranporth Trail is great as it's my home town and I helped write it - I can see Trailers doing it from my lounge window!

When you're not at Treasure Trails, what can you be found doing?
Surfing has been a huge part of my life, it has taken me on many exciting exotic trips around the world. Surfing at home is still great though, and I'll be in the sea as much as possible. If there are no waves though then you'll probably find me hurtling down a hill on my mountain bike!
